Widowmaker Brewing Co.
Widowmaker started as a passion homebrew project in co-owner Ryan's basement in 2015. By 2016 Ryan and our other two owners, Colin and Bud decided to go join forces and open a brick and mortar brewery; they signed a lease on 220 Wood Road in Braintree, MA. Following a year long build out, Widowmaker Brewing Co. opened its doors on September 23, 2017.

Back Again Windmill brewing some of our closest friends, two Dutch friends, beer enthusiasts, husbands, and fathers. After home brewing for years and hearing that we should start our own brewery, we did. Maplewood
Maplewood opened with the mission to push liquid boundaries in an unassuming building nestled in Chicago’s historic Logan Square neighborhood.
OUR STORY
The first of its kind in Illinois to establish brewing and distilling roots under a single roof, Maplewood has been producing finely crafted beer and spirits since 2014. Three years after moving into the production facility, Maplewood opened their Lounge, a neighborhood staple doubling as a taproom and cocktail bar. Beginning commercial distribution throughout Illinois shortly after settling into Logan Square, Maplewood has since expanded their distribution footprint into Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Kansas. Maplewood’s fans have come to expect expertly crafted beer and spirits in a wide range of styles.

We are a family operation, and not because it’s cool, but because that’s who we enjoy working with, literally. Our tanks are named for family and loved ones, those who got us where we are today and who continue to support us in our crazy ideas. When we started, we never anticipated being as far as we are. We take pride in each step, each success and each mistake (yes, we have had to dump beer before).

Heavy Reel
Jeff, our owner and brewer, got his start in Seaside in 2018. There were a lot of spots he looked at back when he was just brewing on a little 2.5BBL system but settled in Seaside because it felt like the right fit. A little bit pretty, a little bit of an edge... quintessential Jersey. Jeff operated out of that space, gaining recognition within the industry as being a brewer that was ready to push the envelope and make beer that made people scratch their head but before they knew it they were ordering another pour.
Since then, we've opened up a significantly larger production space a few blocks away from the original location. We've gained a few team members, we're making a bit more beer but we all still have the same ethos... keep pushing the envelope.
